In terms of weddings there's so much out there to explore. My biggest inspiration has been the intricate patterns and fabrics of the East. I am forever fascinated with the symbols used in different regions of the subcontinent and the colour combinations specific to those areas.

The first time i designed wedding invitations was for my sister's wedding - and we did black cards... Which is a big superstitious no-no! There were a lot of objections...it had never been done before. We took a risk and the cards were a big hit, we were getting calls from advertising agencies asking about the design, and from other potential clients. That was where it all began and from then on it's been a crazy adventure.

My invitations definitely don't stick to the limited palette of pastel colours traditionally used in weddings... I find that its fun to push limits and cross borders...let me know if there's a wedding around that doesn't mind shaking things up a bit...
